The Biltong Boss is Wykie Etsebeth, who has been making biltong the traditional South African way for more than twenty years, to a family recipe he keeps to himself. From Burleigh Heads in Queensland he makes biltong, droewors and boerewors the way they're made back home, and ships them anywhere in Australia.

Grampians Olive Co. farms the historic Toscana Olive Plantation at Laharum, on the northern edge of the Grampians in western Victoria. Planted in 1943 by immigrant farmer Jacob Friedman, it was one of the first and largest olive groves in Australia, and today the Mathews family tends its 28,000 trees across two generations. The grove is certified organic and dryland farmed with no irrigation, and the oil is cold pressed on farm within hours of harvest, then hand-bottled in small batches.

Gatherer Forager is Anne's family farm in Tasmania's Huon Valley, worked almost entirely by hand and run on permaculture lines, with the animals enriching the compost that feeds the gardens. The beehives stay put rather than chasing nectar flows, and the bees always keep ample honey reserves of their own. What leaves the farm gate is small-batch: raw honey and infusions, elderberry syrup, tallow balms and soaps, herbal teas and seeds, made to honour the seasons and the soil.

Smitten Merino is a Tasmanian family business that has been making merino clothing since 2007, designed in Hobart and sewn in Australia by skilled hands. They work with Australia's superfine merino wool, cut into classic pieces meant to last: dresses, cardigans, coats, tops and sleepwear for men and women. The fibres are natural, biodegradable and responsibly sourced, and everything ships from their Battery Point home to wardrobes across Australia and beyond.

Rotech Rural has been making rural fencing hardware since 1998: the end assemblies, hinges, latches and fittings that decide how well a fence works and how long it lasts. An Australian family business headquartered at Armidale in the New England high country, they test their gear in the paddock before it reaches a catalogue, and refine it on feedback from the contractors who use it every day. Their StayTight end assemblies and RailTight brackets sit on the shelves of over 900 rural stores across the country.
