What Ag Scoop is, in plain terms

We're a curated directory of deals from Australian producers. Shoppers browse for free and buy directly from the producer. Producers list for free and pay us a small referral fee only when a sale happens. That's the whole model.

If you're shopping

Three steps, none of them involve giving us your card

1

Browse the deals

Eight categories: farm stays, food, wine, workwear, equipment, machinery, accessories and more. Every listing is from a producer we've reviewed ourselves.

2

Click through to the producer

The deal takes you to the producer's own website. Your payment and personal details go to them. Ag Scoop never sees or stores either.

3

Deal with them directly

Orders, delivery and any follow-up are between you and the business you bought from. You get the real thing, usually at a better price than retail.

If you're a producer

You pay nothing unless a listing actually sells

1

Apply to list

A short application: who you are, what you make, and what offer you'd like to run. A person reads every one. There are no automated approvals.

2

We build the listing for you

We write the copy and handle the presentation across the site and newsletter. You approve everything before it goes live, and you can change or pull it any time.

3

Pay only on results

When someone clicks through and buys, we earn a small referral commission. No upfront fees, no contracts, no minimum spend. If a listing doesn't convert, it costs you nothing.

Common questions

The things people usually ask

Does Ag Scoop mark up prices?

No. Prices on the site are the producer's own prices. Our referral fee comes out of the producer's side, and it's typically less than what they'd spend on advertising to reach the same buyer.

How do you verify producers?

Before anything is listed, we check that the business is real, Australian, and selling what it says it sells: ABN, website, and a direct conversation with the owner. If something doesn't add up, it doesn't get listed.

What does it cost to list?

Nothing upfront. Producers pay a referral commission on completed sales only. The exact rate depends on the category. Ask us when you apply and we'll tell you the number before you commit to anything.

I found a deal that's expired or wrong. What do I do?

Tell us through the contact page and we'll fix or pull it, usually within a day. Keeping listings accurate is most of the job.

Sound fair?

Browse the current deals, or if you're a producer, tell us what you make. Applications take about five minutes.

An email now and then. Our best finds.
