What Ag Scoop is, in plain terms

We're a curated directory of Australian producers. Shoppers browse for free and buy directly from the producer. Producers list and pay a commission only when a sale happens.

If you're shopping

Three steps, all of them are easy

1

Browse the deals

Eight categories — farm stays, food, wine, workwear, equipment, machinery, hire and more. Every listing is from a producer we've tested ourselves.

2

Click through to the producer

The deal takes you to the producer's own website. Your payment and personal details go to them - Ag Scoop never sees or stores either.

3

Deal with them directly

Orders, delivery and any follow-up are between you and the business you bought from. You get the real thing, usually at a better price than retail.

If you're a producer

You pay nothing unless a listing actually sells

1

Apply to list

A short application: who you are, what you make, and what offer you'd like to run.

2

We build the listing for you

We write the copy and handle the presentation across the site and newsletter. You approve everything before it goes live, and you can change or pull it any time.

3

Pay only on results

When someone clicks through and buys, we earn a small referral commission. No upfront fees, no contracts, no minimum spend. If a listing doesn't convert, it costs you nothing.

Why this model

Compare it with what regional advertising usually costs

Newspaper ads, radio spots, boosted posts

  • You pay upfront, whether anyone buys or not
  • You're charged for impressions, not sales
  • Reaches whoever happens to see it
  • No way to know what actually worked

A listing on Ag Scoop

  • Free to list - we earn only when you do
  • You pay a commission on actual sales
  • Reaches people searching for rural Australian products. We handle the marketing
  • Every click and referral is tracked and analysed
Common questions

The things people usually ask

Does Ag Scoop mark up prices?

No. Prices on the site are the producer's own prices. If anything, the prices here can be the most competitive.

How do you verify producers?

We test out the product, and if we like it, we list it.

What does it cost to list?

Nothing upfront. Producers pay a referral commission on completed sales only. The exact rate depends on the category — ask us when you apply and we'll tell you the number before you commit to anything.

I found a deal that's expired or wrong. What do I do?

Tell us through the contact page and we'll fix or pull it, usually within a day.

Sound fair?

Browse the current deals, or if you're a producer, tell us what you make. Applications take about five minutes.

One email a month. The ten best deals.
